Tokyo Guitar Show 2007
Last weekend June 24th, 2007 my friend and I had the chance to see the Tokyo Guitar Show which was held at the TFT Building near Tokyo Big Sight.

We came around 12:30 in the afternoon and from the photo above you’ll able to see the information desk, and also the mini-raffle they have with the major price of Squier Telecaster Guitar! Unfortunately, only people who filled-up the survey form online from the sponsor’s website would only be able participate.
So instead we headed inside the Exhibition and Sale where most of the guitars are displayed. And wow! Plenty of cool (and some vintage) guitars ranging from Paul Reed Smith (PRS), Fender, Squier, Zemaitis, etc. that are being exhibited. I really can’t get off my eyes with PRS guitars, I love them!

Taking pictures inside the exhibition were allowed so all I did was point-and-shoot. Uhm, ok I guess not all... there are some booth that prohibit taking pictures, mostly the vintage ones but no big deal, I’ve collected good amount of pictures which will I post later to Flickr!. I’ll post the link here later. ;)
Okay, so after the guitar exhibit, my friend and I went to the Elixir booth - makers of guitar strings. They have some of these laptops connected into microscopes which magnifies the string’s material. The image is not really that clear but you’ll able to see the string’s metal if you look carefully at the laptop’s screen.

Elixir booth also have few guitars connected to Line Pod 2.0 (a hardware-type amp simulator) which gives guitarists to play and try there strings. I was actually curious on how the Line Pod 2.0 sounds like so I asked my friend to take some pictures while I try it :D

Well, I was quite impressed on how the Line Pod 2.0 sounds like from amps to FX. The Elixir strings too are not that hard which helps me bend the strings into half-note/whole-note with less force applied.
Next would be the BOSS and Fender Play Zone where I got the chance to try the new gadget that will be release next month called VG-99 by Roland. I’ll also add some more pictures from this event so please check back from time to time.

Cheers!
